It was a beautiful day in the Luxing residence. Arriving home from a long day at work, John quickly walked into his mansion as he could not wait to see his wife. The house was filled with an amazing aroma that was permeating from the kitchen where his wife was cooking. John had been married to Heather, his wife, for sixteen years. They had two children, and their names were Luke and Sarah. Luke was fifteen years old, and Sarah was twelve. John was the Chief Executive Officer of Spirit Jewelry. He had created the company twenty years ago. It was now one of the largest and most successful jewelry companies in the world. Luke was at basketball practice and Sarah was at gymnastics, so it was just John and Heather home for dinner. Heather prepared steak, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus with Hollandaise sauce, Caesar salad and a side of red wine. For dessert she had made a scrumptious chocolate cake. While Heather and John were eating, they discussed each of their days. During their conversation, Heather shared the idea that they should build a game room along with a bowling alley for Luke and Sarah. John loved the idea.
The next day John contacted Gary, who owned his own construction company and had done numerous construction projects for the Luxings. Gary came to the house and looked at the space to discuss the project. Gary shared that he unfortunately was not able to do this project as he was too busy, but he gave John some names of people to call. John followed up with these individuals, and they said they could do it. Their names were Matt Dunlop, Tim Johnson, and Andrew Smith. As standard procedure, Matt went the next day to the City Inspection Office to fill out the necessary paperwork, gave them his construction license and obtained the blueprints for the Luxing’s house.
The next week Matt and his co-workers started the project for the game room and the bowling alley. The first part of the project required removing several walls in order to open up the space. John told Matt to not remove one of the walls because he had a hidden safe embedded in it. The safe had a passcode on it, and only John knew what that was. He kept something extremely valuable in it, but no one knew what it was except for him. Later that week Matt and his team were working on the game room and bowling alley as they had been all week. The kids were at school, Heather was running errands, and John was at work. Matt and his co-workers were all alone at the house. John came home later that day when he was done with work, and he wanted to see how the construction was going. He went down stairs and noticed that not much work had been done. Immediately, he checked the safe and noticed it was open and the valuable item was nowhere to be found. It had been stolen. He was in complete shock because he had high security around his house as well as cameras looking every place imaginable. When the cameras pick up something suspicious, he usually got a notification on his phone. Quickly, he called the police and told them what happened. They immediately came to his house. He explained that one of the most expensive diamonds in the world was stolen from his safe. The diamond was called The Cullinan Diamond, and it was worth two billion dollars.
Matt, Tim and Andrew were driving away to their house which was off the grid. Everyone was so proud of themselves for pulling this stunt off. They could not contain their excitement. Matt, Tim and Andrew were highly professional thieves and had been stalking John Luxing’s house for weeks. Matt was the mastermind behind the plan, and he was the leader of this group. Tim did the research on John and discovered he was in possession of the diamond and that it supposedly was kept in a safe in his mansion. Andrew was the hacker. He hacked all of John’s security alarms and cameras so that they would not go off when they stole the diamond, as well as making sure no camera would detect them. Matt, being the leader, tried to figure out how they were going to rob John. Andrew thought of hacking their Alexa to maybe hear of anything that they might be able to disguise themselves as to enter the house. They heard Gary say that he would not be able to do the project and wrote down the names and number he gave John to call to see if they could do the project. The names of these men were Matt, Tim and Andrew. They knew that when John called this number, they needed to hack the line and switch it over to their line and act like these construction workers. John called them to discuss the project, and they said they could do the project. Then they made a fake license to obtain the blueprint of the house and started to plan their heist.
When they started the project, they searched for the safe. They found it. Then it was a matter of figuring out when was the best time to steal it. No one was home one day when they were working, and that was the perfect time. Andrew, whose real name is David, hacked the security alarms and the cameras. Matt and Tim, whose real names are Sam and James, used a special spray to show John’s finger prints on the passcode of the safe. They successfully opened it, carefully reached in to remove the diamond, and immediately left.
Sam, James and David arrived at their home and put the diamond inside a secure place. They all sat down to celebrate when all of a sudden they heard a loud knock on the door and someone saying, “POLICE OPEN UP”. They did not open the door right away. The police then proceeded to say that their whole house was surrounded and that they should surrender. They opened the door and were arrested. The thieves did not know, but in the diamond was a tracking chip. John had given the police the tracking information to find them. This was the first time that the thieves had been caught, and they could not believe it. The Cullinan Diamond was safely returned to John. He upgraded his security system even more so that nothing like this would ever happen again.
